INSULATOR Acceptance Test:

 INSULATOR Acceptance Test:

The acceptance tests is conducted in the presence of the buyer's Engineers. Based on this test buyer's engineers verify the the quality and reliability of the materials. as per IEC/IS standard following test is important to ensure the use of equipment :

1 Visual examination test :IS 731-1971: Perform on 100% of sample

Insulators is a most important equipment to prevent the flow of current. As per safety concern defective insulator should not be used in electrical system. This method helps to early detection of defects such as cracks, , surface contamination, or any damage of material.

2.Dimension Verification: IS 731-1971:Perform on 100% of sample

Insulators are designed with proper dimension to perform their intended work efficiently.as per signed drawing dimension verification is important .

3.Eeccentricity test:Radial &Axial:IS 731-1971& IEC:60383:Perform on 100% of sample

Eccentricity test for Radial &Axial confirms the degree of deviation of dimension in the direction of Radial &Axial of insulators.

4.Temp cycle test: IS 731-1971:Perform on 100% of sample

This test ensure the variation of temperature  does not affect the electrical and mechanical property of insulators due to which durability & performance of insulator enhanced.

5.Mechanical performance test : IS 731-1971:(n-1)th sampling criteria:

this test evaluate the ability of insulators to withstand mechanical stresses.

6.Electromechanical failing load test  :IS 731-1971:(n-1)th sampling criteria

This test evaluate the mechanical strength and electrical performance of insulators

7.porosity test :IS 731-1971:(n-1)th sampling criteria:

This test evaluate the porosity, or the presence of small voids or pores,

8.Puncture test :IS 731-1971:Remaing sample:

This test evaluate the electrical strength and ability to withstand max high voltage conditions.

 9.Galvanising test :IS 731-1971&IS:2633-1986:Remaing sample

This test on insulators confirms whether the metal parts of the insulators are adequately coated with zinc, which helps prevent corrosion.

10.Test of locking device :IEC60383/IEC: 383:Remaing sample:

this test ensure the effectiveness and reliability of the locking mechanism used to secure the insulator to its structure.
